King’s College London’s Faculty of Arts & Humanities is seeking an Events & Engagement Coordinator to play an integral role in supporting and enriching the faculty’s public engagement and event activities. Based at the heart of London with opportunities to work both on campus and remotely, this permanent position supports a wide range of engagement work across departments — from academic conferences and seminars to public exhibitions, festivals, hybrid sessions and online engagements. Working alongside the Senior Events & Engagement Officer, the coordinator will help manage the planning, organisation, administration and evaluation of both in-person and virtual events, fostering a culture that strengthens the public impact of research and creative scholarship. The role also includes supporting the administration and operation of the REACH (Research & Engagement in the Arts, Culture & Humanities) Space and other faculty spaces as required.
This role offers an individual the opportunity to contribute organisational expertise and creative energy to a broad programme of engagement activities, interfacing with academic staff, researchers, students and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for coordinating logistic and administrative aspects of engagement initiatives, providing advice on best practices for events, and managing your workload to achieve high-quality outcomes. This hybrid position requires at least two days per week on campus, and is ideal for someone enthusiastic about academic engagement, public research culture and collaborative event delivery.
Eligibility Criteria
* Experience in supporting or coordinating events and engagement activities, including hybrid or virtual formats.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues and external partners.
Required Expertise & Skills
* Proven ability to manage logistics, administration and resource planning for events across diverse formats.
* Aptitude for advising on events best practice and a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in engagement work.
* Attention to detail and strong organisational discipline, with the flexibility to support varied activities across the Faculty.
* Familiarity with digital tools and communication platforms to support hybrid and online event delivery, and confidence in supporting colleagues to work with these tools.
Salary Details
Annual salary is in the range of £34,713 to £38,127 per year, including London Weighting Allowance.
