Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Up to £550 per week
Location: Dudley | Secondary School
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Are you looking to gain practical, school-based experience in a high-achieving secondary school before progressing into a career in education, psychology, or child development?
We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Dudley that takes a values-driven approach to education and is known for both academic excellence and inclusive, compassionate student support. This school is looking to welcome a dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to their team – a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real impact from day one.
Why You Should Apply:
Earn up to £550 per week
Join a school with a strong reputation for progress, inclusion, and student development
Work in a supportive and values-led environment where character-building is as important as academic results
Gain firsthand experience working with SEN students in both classroom and small-group settings
Ideal for graduates aiming to become SEN teachers, educational psychologists, or therapists
Full-time, term-time role – Monday to Friday
What You’ll Be Doing:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN needs
Support students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional/social challenges
Collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to deliver tailored learning strategies
Help build students’ confidence, independence, and emotional resilience
Engage in school-wide initiatives that promote wellbeing, inclusion, and positive behaviour
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
What We’re Looking For:
A 2:1 degree or above – preferably in Psychology, Education, or a related subject
A sincere interest in inclusive education and special needs support
Excellent communication, patience, and relationship-building skills
Some experience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid)
A long-term interest in roles such as teaching, educational psychology, or child mental health
Ready to Join a School That Makes a Difference?
If you're excited to build your experience and support young people in a dynamic, inclusive school in Dudley, we’d love to hear from you.
