Overview
Night Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, Woodland View, Worcestershire, United Kingdom. Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. Our residents are people with their own stories, and by joining us you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back.
As a Night Senior Care Assistant you will plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care and be a positive influence on the team. You may show someone how to use a walking frame, help with meals at the end of life, and speak with a resident’s family on the phone, always with kindness as the guiding value. You will provide essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities and you may administer medication.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the rest of your team. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and it is important to recognise signs that may indicate abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training in associated areas, including seeking appropriate advice and escalating if action is not taken.
