Overview
Facilities Assistant role at Coast Concrete Services. Location: Stonelaw High School, 140 Calderwood Road, Rutherglen, G73 3BP. Hours: 15 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time). Salary: £13.33 per hour (cleaner rate) and £13.64 - £13.79 per hour (supervisor rate).
Work Pattern: Monday - Tuesday 4pm - 7pm and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 3pm - 6pm. The successful candidate will carry out cleaning duties and supervise a team of Facility Assistants, including training, recruitment & selection, attendance management, and team briefings. The role includes setting up rooms for lets and acting as the responsible person on site for reporting health and safety issues, and ensuring building security as required.
Responsibilities
* Carry out cleaning on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls, and related surfaces.
* Monitor cleaning standards in line with specifications/COSHH regulations; report issues to management.
* Set up rooms for lets and act as the on-site responsible person for reporting health and safety issues.
* Supervise a team of Facility Assistants (Cleaning), including training, recruitment & selection, attendance management, and delivering team briefs.
* Ensure building security is maintained and act as a key-holder as required.
* Provide ongoing monitoring and reporting of cleaning standards in line with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience in cleaning operations and supervising a team is preferred.
* Knowledge of health and safety requirements, including COSHH regulations.
* Ability to set up spaces for events/lets and manage on-site safety reporting.
* Reliable with excellent communication and team leadership skills.
* PVG scheme considerations and other compliance as applicable to the role (as per employer requirements).

* Recent and relevant experience in similar facilities or school environment is desirable.
