The job itself
Priory View Day Service supports adults with learning disabilities, autism, older people and those with memory impairment conditions. We provide a safe, well-maintained environment where people can access essential care and support. We are now looking for a dedicated Caretaker to join our team and help keep our large site running safely and efficiently.
What you will be doing
1. Taking responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the Priory View site.
2. Coordinating repairs, liasing with contractors and acting as the onsite contact for building and facilities queries.
3. Ensuring high standards of health and safety, infection control and site security.
4. Carry out routine checks, maintenance tasks and planned works.
5. Supporting the management team by ensuring the building is safe, well-presented and fit for purpose for the people who attend our service.
6. Helping us maintain a safe environment for people who rely on the service each week

What we are looking for
7. Experience in building maintenance, caretaking or similar role.
8. Someone who is proactive, organised, and able to manage a busy varied workload.
9. A person who understands the importance of maintaining a safe environment for vulnerable people.
10. Confidence to work independently, problem-solve and take responsibility for site standards.
11. Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a wider team.
