Azure Platform Technician The Role With Group IT-based in London and Manchester, we are expanding the in-house Azure Infrastructure team with an Azure Platform Analyst to support the transformation and the future growth of the business within the Tech function. Following the successful lift & shift of servers and services to Azure, the role will understand the server architecture across the Group, and will oversee and manage the changes and support provided by third party providers. The role will be looking to modernise and simplify our environment, working with the architect function and third-party vendors to develop and deliver roadmaps towards automation and efficiencies across the environment. Responsibilities will include: Work closely with the operations team, design team and third-party support and vendors to ensure that we maintain high service levels and uptime for all networking resources. Investigate and diagnose core infrastructure-related incidents reported by customers, and liaise with third-party vendors and service providers. Detail knowledge Microsoft Azure services, Azure Active Directory and security group Ability to Deploy and manage a Microsoft Azure Autopilot environment Supporting the build and maintenance of production pipelines Documenting cloud infrastructure Providing cost analysis and reporting of cloud services when required Work with the Application and Development Support Engineer to diagnose and resolve platform issues Ability to manage a Microsoft in-tune deployment with Application packaging and policy’s Analyse and upgrade main systems where required. This includes Windows stack product upgrades, end-user compute and networking infrastructure components. Pro-actively identify, always diagnose and resolve information and security issues while adhering to group policies and processes. Follow change control procedures and submit/mange changes at the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB). Essential Skills & Experience • Azure Infrastructure (AZ-900 or similar) • Azure NetApp and AVS services • Endpoint management via Intune • VMWare and NetApp track record of implementation and management • Win10, Windows Server, Server Infrastructure • Active Directory, DHCP, GPO, AAD other standard Microsoft and Microsoft Cloud services • Monitoring OpManager, Cortex XDR and Windows Defender • PowerShell scripting • Deploying conditional access policies, MFA, and PIM infrastructure. • SIEM solutions such as Azure Sentinel, Splunk Enterprise Security • Strong focus on Security • Excellent documentation skills • Background as an Enterprise infrastructure Support or IT Helpdesk Support • Engineer proficient with Linux / Command Line, Log File Analysis, API / CLI and Distributed Systems / High Availability About Canopius Canopius is a global specialty lines (re)insurer.
