Job Description:
We are excited to be working alongside an award-winning consultancy firm in West Yorkshire, which, due to growth and increased workload, is looking to expand its team with an experienced Health and Safety professional.
Ideally, they are seeking an individual to play a crucial role in promoting a safe and compliant work environment as a Health and Safety Associate based in their Wakefield office.
This position involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, performing risk assessments, and developing safety protocols.
Working hours:
* Monday to Friday

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
* Proven experience, preferably in the building, consultancy, or construction industry
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and laws
* Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
* Proactive attitude with a commitment to safety culture
* Ability to work independently and in a team
Key duties:
* Conduct regular inspections for compliance
* Develop, review, and implement safety policies
* Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
* Provide training on safety practices
* Investigate accidents and compile reports
* Maintain safety records
* Liaise with regulatory bodies
* Stay updated on legislation and trends
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety measures
