Assistant Quantity Surveyor - 6‑Month Contract
Location: Hybrid Gosport (once a week) - with weekly UK‑wide travel - expenses paid

About the Role
You'll join as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, supporting the wider commercial function across a portfolio of engineering and infrastructure work. It's a hands‑on supporting role where you'll help drive delivery, ensure compliance with NEC3/NEC4 frameworks, and strengthen commercial governance across the programme.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting Senior QS staff across a diverse project portfolio
Assisting with multiple small works contracts and one major project
Contributing to pre‑tender activity and procurement preparation
Working within NEC3 and NEC4 contract structures
Handling commercial tasks including reporting, cost management, and contract admin
Providing commercial support on mechanical‑based scopes of work
Ensuring accurate records, valuations and commercial documentation
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4
Experience in pre‑tender and early commercial activity
Mechanical engineering project exposure
Experience supporting or assisting QS workloads
Chartered QS or working towards Chartership
Willingness to travel across the UK (approx. weekly)
