Overview
Assistant Technical Officer - Aseptic Services role at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
We are one of the largest NHS Trusts, operating a family of hospitals and providing extensive services across multiple sites. This role is based at the Oxford Road Campus and may require cross-site work. There is a 1 in 5 Saturday rota (9:00 am – 1:30 pm) and bank holiday working as part of the rota.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate professionalism and work using your own initiative to meet deadlines and patient needs.
* Work accurately and methodically in busy Aseptic Services Units, with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to perform under pressure.
* Deliver a high standard, patient-focused service.
* Prepare Neonatal, Paediatric & Adult PN, Adult & Paediatric Chemotherapy, CIVAS and Clinical Trials across MFT, with innovative service provision to patients.
* Potential future requirement to provide cover at any of the MFT sites.
Development and training
* All staff are supported to develop through a structured personal development programme and to develop aseptic skills and knowledge.
* Work towards completing a NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Manufacturing course for support staff.
