Account Director

We are seeking a commercially minded and entrepreneurial Account Director to join our Insurance Risk team. This is a senior role, ideal for an experienced insurance professional with a strong background in underwriting, pricing, claims, and product development.

About the Role

We are seeking a commercially minded and entrepreneurial Account Director to join our Insurance Risk team. This is a senior role, ideal for an experienced insurance professional with a strong background in underwriting, pricing, claims, and product development.

A key focus of the role will be the oversight and strategic management of the insurance schemes we run across a range of sectors. You’ll be responsible for leading scheme performance, managing key client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence through ongoing process and systems improvements.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow innovative insurance solutions while delivering outstanding service to our clients.

Qualifications & Experience

* 5–10+ years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally in underwriting or scheme management.
* Strong understanding of commercial/general insurance and delegated authority/scheme models.
* Demonstrable experience in managing insurance schemes or programs from end to end.
* Proven background in senior account management and stakeholder engagement.
* Experience delivering operational and system/process change initiatives.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage complex projects and competing deadlines.
* Confident operating cross-functionally and leading initiatives.
* Tech-savvy, with experience in CRM and insurance systems.
