Social Care Worker (Entry Level) – Nordalea Care Centre, Shetland
Social Care Workers provide person-centred support to adults in community, day care, care at home and residential settings. This role is based at Nordalea Care Centre, Baltasound, Unst, Shetland.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to individuals in various settings, ensuring high standards of care and independence.
* Support people with varying abilities and complex needs to achieve personal goals and outcomes.
* Deliver intimate personal care, develop daily living skills, training, social activities and meaningful activity aligned with individual wishes.
* Safeguard individuals to avoid danger, harm and protect dignity.
* Demonstrate the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) core values: Respect, Collaboration, Participation & Dignity and Empowerment.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Entry Grade social care worker (no qualification required – values and attitude are key).
* Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) upon beginning post.
* Full driving licence desirable; may be essential depending on travel requirements.
* Preferred to join PVG Scheme or complete PVG Scheme update.
* Ability to travel to undertake duties; travel requirements will be clarified in recruitment.
