Role Overview
The role of the Tekla Draughtsperson Structural Steel will involve dealing with a range of steel fabrication and steelwork such as secondary steelwork, specialist steelwork, staircases, balconies and balustrades.
Producing general arrangement drawings (GAs) and 3D models from Engineers designs.
Responsibilities
* Liaising with clients, contractors, architects and engineers in order to obtain any required information.
* Detailing both fabrication and prep drawings.
* Working closely with the Production Team and Design Engineers to ensure drawings are suitable for on‑site buildability and fabrication.
* Working on projects varying in value from £10k to £2m.
Ideal Applicant
Must have Tekla design/detailed experience and be capable of liaising with internal departments and customers.
Qualifications
* Tekla design / detailing experience.
* Experience dealing with steelwork, metalwork, balconies, architectural metal, staircases, balustrades, handrails etc would be advantageous.
* IT literate (Microsoft Office).
* Excellent attention to detail and time‑management skills.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
