About the Role
We are looking for a technically adept and collaborative Automotive Product Engineer to support the integration of our connected radio metadata APIs – covering broadcast (DAB+, FM, AM) and IP-based streaming – into automotive OEM infotainment platforms. You will serve as a key technical interface between our product teams and global automotive partners, ensuring seamless delivery of rich, real-time radio experiences in connected vehicles and project manager of any automotive projects. You will project manage all developments for automotive, ensuring project coordination and status reporting to the automotive partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical integrations of radio metadata APIs/ automotive SDK, ensuring compatibility with both broadcast and IP radio systems.
* Provide hands-on engineering support during pre-sales, development, testing, and post-launch phases.
* Project manage launches of automotive products and any automotive activities.
* Oversee product-related quality KPIs and quality reporting to the automotive customers.
* Collaborate with internal product, engineering, and QA teams to translate OEM requirements into scalable, reliable solutions.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation, integration guides, and sample code for partner use.
* Manage and resolve customer-reported technical issues, including root cause analysis, debugging, and coordination with internal teams for resolution.
* Review and manage quality reporting for automotive clients.
* Act as the primary technical contact for OEM partners, ensuring timely and effective communication around issue status and resolution plans.
* Participate in validation and certification processes for in-vehicle deployments and testing.
* Stay current with automotive standards and evolving infotainment technologies (e.g. Android Automotive OS, AOSP, Linux-based systems).
* Represent the company in technical workshops, partner meetings, and industry events.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
* 3+ years of experience in technical solution engineering, product integration, or embedded systems development.
* Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and cloud-based services and experience with API testing tools e.g. POSTMAN, Swagger, SOAP, etc.
* Experience with automotive infotainment systems, including integration with broadcast radio (DAB+, FM, AM) and IP streaming platforms.
* Familiarity with CAN, MOST, or Ethernet-based in-vehicle networks.
* Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Proven experience in customer support or issue resolution, ideally in a B2B or OEM-facing environment.
* Knowledge of JIRA or AGILE project management software and ability to manage the project involving high number of stakeholders, reporting directly to the external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Android Automotive OS, Linux, or QNX platforms.
* Understanding of broadcast metadata standards (e.g. RadioDNS, RDS, DLS, PAD).
* Familiarity with OTA update mechanisms, vehicle HMI design, or connected services architecture.
* Experience working with external Customers and Suppliers.
* Experience working with Software development cycles.
* Experience with project management and knowledge of JIRA or AGILE software.
