About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Chemistry Team Leader to join a well-established technical consultancy serving major clients in the global oil and gas sector. The role involves leading and expanding a high-performing technical team, with a focus on Produced Water Treatment, Injection and Production Chemistry, Engineering Design, and Asset Integrity Management.
As part of the second-tier management, you will drive innovative solutions, manage complex projects, and contribute to continuous improvement, offering a chance to deepen industry expertise and develop leadership skills in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead production chemistry projects from conception to delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
* Promote ethical practices, transparency, and compliance with policies and regulations.
* Serve as a key client contact, ensuring needs are met with high professional standards.
* Foster open communication and collaboration across departments.
* Motivate your team and promote a positive culture.
* Oversee technical competency development within the team.
Your Background
* At least 10 years' experience in a relevant production chemistry or oil and gas consultancy role, with leadership responsibilities.
* Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (essential); master's in chemistry or chemical engineering preferred.
* Knowledge of project management methodologies is advantageous.
* Practical knowledge of chemistry, microbiology, and lab safety regulations (COSHH, MSDS, IATA).
* Experience in oil industry operations is highly beneficial.
