Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Distribution and Warehouse Manager to join an aspiring company based in Dewsbury. This is an ideal role for Distribution and Warehouse Manager who is highly organised and conscientious.
The Distribution and Warehouse Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling logistics of the entire business and production within one department. The main responsibility is to ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently, with the correct quantity, quality, and cost, and leave the factory on time.
The role involves:
* Ensuring adherence to H&S policies and proper PPE on the shop floor
* Delivering the production plan schedule
* Maintaining health and safety measures
* Ensuring cost-effective production (Cost per bed target)
* Planning labor resources to support production
* Ensuring products are produced on time and meet quality standards
* Liaising with external couriers for logistics
* Exporting goods domestically and overseas
* Organizing shipments
* Operating IT systems
* Negotiating and managing contracts
* Developing and confirming schedules
* Planning for and resolving technical difficulties
* Preparing regulatory paperwork
* Liaising with and managing staff
* Implementing health and safety standards
* Managing team performance and addressing issues
* Identifying training needs for the team
The position suits a candidate skilled in:
* Implementing Lean Manufacturing Techniques
* Mechanical maintenance (qualification advantageous)
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel
* Experience with SAP
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Salary ranges from £28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
