1:1 Tutor of Maths & English
We’re looking for Teachers, HLTAs or experienced Tutors to work on a one-to-one basis with students who are receiving education outside of a traditional school environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tailoring learning to individual needs and making a real difference to young people who need additional support with Maths and English.
The role:
1. Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition sessions in Maths and/or English
2. Support students who may be out of school for a range of reasons (for example, SEMH, anxiety, medical needs)
3. Create a safe and encouraging learning environment
4. Plan sessions based on each learner’s needs and ability
5. Sessions may take place in community settings or in the student’s home (with safeguarding and safety always prioritised)
What we’re looking for:
6. QTS, HLTA status, or strong tutoring experience
7. Confident teaching Maths and English from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4
8. A calm, flexible and supportive approach
9. Someone who can build positive relationships with learners
10. Reliable, organised, and a strong communicator
