Key Account Manager / Interiors / £60,000 Plus Commission / Remote/Field Based (UK)
We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to take ownership of major retail and online accounts across the UK & Ireland. This is a senior-level sales role where you’ll be responsible for managing and growing relationships with large DIY retailers, online platforms, and buying groups, while also identifying opportunities for new business development.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing account strategies, negotiating annual trading agreements, and ensuring accounts are managed effectively, profitably, and in line with service level agreements. With full responsibility for senior-level client relationships, you’ll act as the primary contact for key partners, working cross-functionally with marketing, product, supply chain, and sales teams to deliver growth and long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic customer plans aligned to business objectives.
Negotiate annual trading agreements and manage budgets for revenue and margin.
Build and maintain strong senior-level relationships with key clients.
Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing accounts and new customers.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored marketing, product, and promotional plans.
Provide accurate forecasting to ensure effective supply chain and production planning.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.What We’re Looking For
Proven senior-level experience in Key Account Management or Business Development (minimum 8 years).
Strong track record of managing and developing major DIY and online accounts.
Demonstrable knowledge of sales and marketing techniques in the DIY/online retail space.
Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving, project management, and change management abilities.
