Job Summary
The Tile House Surgery in Brentwood are seeking a medical administrator/GP assistant to provide general administrative support to the clinical and non-clinical team. This position is offered on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday with one late shift until 6.30pm. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service.
Main duties of the job
* Scanning and reading letters received into the surgery either by post, internal or electronically
* Actioning letters and add to inhouse system
* Managing the electronic referrals via the portal attaching information etc required
* Typing of letters, reports and patient referrals on MS Word
* Updating GPs with any requests etc
* Dealing with incoming emails and calls and acting on these
* Running daily reports as required
* Booking appointments
* Contacting hospitals for patient test results
Full training is provided on all systems and processes.
