Vero Recruitment has been exclusively appointed to recruit an International Financial Controller for a leading global engineering services group in Aberdeenshire.

The role:
Reporting directly to the CFO, the International Financial Controller will take overall responsibility for managing the finance function and overseeing the operations of all companies within the Europe & Africa business unit. This covers eight companies across the UK and Europe.
This is a visible, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for a team of eight, requiring both strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to inspire, develop and lead a high-performing finance function. The successful individual will play a key role in driving change, strengthening processes, and supporting strategic decision-making during an exciting phase of growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts within Group deadlines
* Delivering financial analysis and presenting results to senior management
* Preparing year-end statutory accounts and liaising with auditors
* Reviewing and enhancing financial processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
* Leading, developing and mentoring the finance team across the UK and overseas
* Supporting the implementation of a new Group-wide ERP system (D365)
* Preparing annual budgets, long-term financial plans and forecasts
* Managing working capital, cash flow reporting and treasury activity
* Ensuring compliance with Group policies, regulatory requirements and strong internal controls
Who we’re looking for:
Suits a professionally qualified accountant with proven leadership experience and the ability to operate within a complex, multi-entity environment. Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and excellent communication are essential. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and motivated by the opportunity to shape the finance function within a dynamic, growing international business.
