Phlebotomist – Hull – (Job Ref: 26/PBHL)
Location: Unit 7, Grand Buildings Jameson Street, Hull, HU1 3JX.
Contract Offered: Full-time, permanent
Working Hours / Shifts: 8:40am to 5:20pm, alternating weekly between a Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday shift pattern. These shifts are subject to change.
Vaccination requirement: As you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage.
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check required in line with Care Quality Commission guidelines.
Right to Work: Candidates must have legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
* Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
* Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
* Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
* Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
* Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
* Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
* Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manage various software systems and daily tasks.
Essential Criteria
* Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
* Confident using IT programmes.
* Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
* Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
Desirable
* Experience in a private healthcare setting.
* Experience in customer service.
* 2 years experience in Phlebotomy.
* Sales / Retail experience.
* Valid UK driving licence.
