Become a 1:1 Tutor for SEN Students – Make a Real Difference! Are you passionate about helping students with special educational needs (SEN) succeed and reach their full potential? At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking dedicated 1:1 tutors to work with students referred to us for additional support. Whether you’re tutoring English, Maths, Science, or more specialized subjects like PE, Business, and Humanities, we need you to bring your creativity and expertise to students who truly need it. About the Role As a 1:1 tutor, you’ll be working with SEN students who have been referred to us for additional support. These students have specific learning needs and benefit from personalized, tailored tuition. Your role will be to deliver engaging lessons that help them overcome learning barriers and succeed in their education. Subjects You’ll Tutor : Core subjects : English, Maths, Science Specialist subjects : PE, Business, Humanities (History, Geography, and more!) You’ll also support study skills, exam strategies, and confidence-building activities tailored to their unique needs. You’ll meet students in their homes or in local spaces, with hours ranging from 1 to 15 hours per week, giving you the flexibility to manage your schedule. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for: Passionate tutors who are excited to help SEN students grow academically. Experienced educators with a strong understanding of how to support students with learning difficulties or additional needs. Someone who can break down complex concepts and deliver lessons in a way that works for each student. Patient, supportive individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in a student's life. If you’re experienced in working with SEN students and ready to offer the personalized support they need, this role is perfect for you! What You’ll Be Doing 1:1 Lessons with SEN students who have been referred for additional support. Delivering personalized lessons in subjects like English, Maths, Science, PE, Business, and Humanities. Supporting students’ exam preparation with strategies designed for their unique learning styles. Building a strong rapport with students to ensure they feel supported and motivated. Tracking progress and adjusting lessons based on each student's evolving needs. What You’ll Need Experience tutoring or teaching SEN students. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students with different learning styles. A student-centered approach with a focus on building confidence and overcoming learning barriers. Patience, empathy, and a professional attitude towards working with students facing diverse challenges. A passion for helping SEN students succeed academically and develop essential life skills.
