Tourism Operations Manager (Fixed Term - 2 Years)

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is seeking an ambitious Tourism Operations Manager to lead the transformation of our visitor attractions, based at the iconic Castell Henllys Iron Age Village. This is a pivotal two-year role focused on driving financial sustainability, reducing operating costs, and increasing income generation across our tourism services.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership across our key visitor sites, ensuring they deliver high-quality visitor experiences while operating more efficiently and commercially. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve value for money, and grow revenue through retail, events, partnerships, and external funding.
This role is central to delivering our Regenerative Tourism vision—balancing commercial success with environmental responsibility and community benefit.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading a more commercial, income-focused approach across visitor services
* Identifying and delivering cost efficiencies and operational improvements
* Developing new revenue streams, including events, retail and fundraising
* Managing multi-site teams to deliver excellent, sustainable visitor experiences
* Strengthening partnerships with communities, stakeholders and funders
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has strong experience in tourism, hospitality or visitor attractions
* Brings a track record of improving financial performance and managing budgets
* Is a confident leader, able to drive change across teams and sites
* Combines commercial acumen with a commitment to sustainability
Welsh language skills are desirable, and support will be provided to develop these.
