Job summary
Summary of the set-up
· CA-CIB has established a team dedicated to M&A in the Infrastructure & Power sectors. The team reports to the Head of GIB EMEA based in Paris with coordination locally with the Global Head of Infrastructure (ERA) based in London. This team is called M&A London – Power & Infrastructure (or UK GIB)
· The M&A London Power & Infrastructure team is responsible with leading the origination and execution of M&A mandates in the infrastructure, telecom infrastructure and power & renewables sectors in EMEA
Principal accountabilities of the Intern
· Working as part of CA-CIB’s Global Investment Banking division, the intern should contribute to the origination and execution of M&A transactions within the relevant sectors, including
o assistance in preparation of marketing pitches in full co-ordination with the rest of the GIB team, Sector Coverage, and ERA product teams
o assistance in the execution of mandates (buy side or sell side): process organisation, assistance in financial analysis and presentation materials, creation of transaction support documents;
· Review in-house training materials to get up to speed on valuations and other M&A skills;
· Seek and receive guidance from other M&A bankers on technical aspects;
Attend team meetings and participate in the day-to-day life of the department.

Candidate criteria
Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
Graduate
Experience
· Basic knowledge of valuation and modelling techniques, as well as financial theory and accounting,
· Knowledge of the Investment Banking sector and M&A
