Overview
Graduate Civil/Structural Design Engineer role in Kier Group’s Transportation team, across various Midlands/Northern locations. You will support the Civil/Structural aspects of projects within the Kier Design area of Transportation.
Locations and Programme
Locations: Birmingham, Norwich, Leeds, Newcastle or Liverpool with flexibility to travel/relocate. Permanent, full-time 2-year graduate development programme leading to an assistant level role with salary potential around £38k on completion.
Starting details and Benefits
Starting salary: £30,000 per annum with potential £4,750 car allowance depending on eligibility. Benefits include 26 days annual leave and 24/7 Wellbeing Support Programme.
What you will be responsible for
* Assist in the preparation and management of project designs, plans, and specifications.
* Support development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets.
* Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to solve technical issues and ensure project success.
* Prepare technical reports, documentation, and provide project updates.

What we are looking for
We are looking for graduates in 2026 or those who have graduated within the past three years, with a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Related Degree in Civil Engineering.
* Interest in starting a career in construction engineering.
* Organized with good time management and strong analytical abilities.
* Ideally a full UK driving licence.
