OUR IMPACT
We are Compliance Engineering, a global team of over 400 engineers and scientists working on complex, mission-critical problems.
* Build and operate platforms and applications that prevent, detect, and mitigate regulatory and reputational risks.
* Access the latest technology and process massive amounts of structured and unstructured data, including ~1 billion trade records and ~5 billion market data records daily.
* Leverage modern frameworks to build responsive front-end and Big Data applications.
The firm is investing significantly to rebuild the Compliance application portfolio in 2025 and beyond. We are establishing a new Compliance Engineering team in Birmingham, offering a unique opportunity to be part of this exciting initiative and collaborate with senior leadership.
FULL STACK LEAD ROLES
We are looking to fill several full-stack lead roles across different teams.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
* Partner globally with sponsors, users, and engineering colleagues to create end-to-end solutions.
* Learn from experts, mentor, and coach junior team members.
* Utilize data-streaming technologies including Kafka CDC, Kafka, EMS, and Apache Flink.
* Innovate and incubate new ideas.
* Work on a broad range of problems involving large data sets, real-time processing, messaging, workflows, and UI/UX.
* Drive the full software development lifecycle: define, design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain software products.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates will have:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field.
* 5+ years of experience in Java development.
* 5+ years of experience in automated testing and SDLC concepts.
* Strong attention to detail and goal-oriented.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working with global teams.
* Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
