On‑Site Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Fawley (On‑site)
Salary: £51,900 - £57,700 per year (DOE)
Start Date: 6th July 2026
Contract: 12‑Month
The Role
As the on‑site “hands and eyes” for IT, you will be the key on‑site technical expert, maintaining and supporting network, server, and site infrastructure while playing a key role in project delivery and service improvement. You will work across data centre operations, infrastructure support, and stakeholder coordination to ensure seamless IT service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands‑on support across network, server, and infrastructure environments
- Carry out IMAC activities (installs, moves, adds, changes)
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Perform physical infrastructure tasks (racking, cabling, patching)
- Manage server rooms and communications environments
- Support network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi/voice)
- Handle incidents, requests, and changes via ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
- Coordinate with vendors and manage repairs / logistics
- Support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations
- Ensure compliance with security, safety, and IT standards
What We’re Looking For
- 3‑5 years’ experience in Network / Infrastructure Engineering
- Strong hands‑on IT infrastructure and troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) and virtualization
- Experience with networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
- Familiarity with modern networking concepts (TCP/IP, SD‑WAN, Zero Trust)
- Experience with servers, storage (NetApp/Dell EMC), and end‑user devices
- Comfortable working with physical infrastructure (cabling, racking, hardware handling)
- CCNA (preferred but not essential)

- Highly organised with the ability to multitask
- Comfortable working independently and within global teams
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (travel between sites required)
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed
- Participation in an on‑call rota
