This post would suit a newly qualified or qualifying physiotherapist who is seeking to commence their career in a friendly and supportive environment.
If successful, you will have responsibility for assessing and treating your own caseload of patients and maintaining the associated records. As an autonomous practitioner you will be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, delegating as appropriate to support workers.
Regular supervision is provided by experienced band 6 and 7 therapists and takes the form of formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, caseload discussion and formal clinical supervision sessions. The structure of the therapy teams at Southend ensures that there is always access to advice and support from a senior therapist.
The role involves active participation in the weekend/bank holiday working rotas and on‑call service, once the required training has been completed.
We provide a robust training and support environment that includes a safe learning climate, a supervision structure, and opportunities to develop expertise across medical, surgical, and community settings.
Advert closes on Wednesday 13 May 2026.
