Overview
We are looking for a confident, reliable individual with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn to join our Corporate Services Team. The successful candidate will ideally have a background in the corporate or commercial world and be willing to learn new aspects of a large and dynamic business.
Responsibilities
* Document Preparation: Review general corporate documentation including insurance policies, construction contracts and some property-related agreements (e.g. leases, deeds, purchase contracts).
* Compliance Management: Providing client information to banks, solicitors and other interested parties. Ensuring documentation held on file is both accurate and up to date.
* Corporate Governance: Preparation of board minutes and Companies House filings.
* Property Transactions: Dealing with third parties including landlords, estate agents, and management companies. Dealing with the payments of rents, rates and utility bills.
* Administrative Support: Organise files, manage communication with external legal counsel, insurance agents, and property management teams. Produce reports, maintain spreadsheets and draft external communication.
* Claims and Disputes: Assist in the resolution of insurance claims and property disputes by gathering evidence, analysing documents, and liaising with stakeholders.
* Legal Research: Conduct research on relevant legal precedents, insurance regulations and property law although this is a small element of the role.
Requirements
* Education: A bachelor’s degree or paralegal qualification is preferred but not essential.
* Experience: A proven record of expertise in legal or corporate law, claims, property management and transactions is highly desirable.
* Skills: Communication, attention to detail and the ability to work with Microsoft applications (i.e. Teams, Excel and Word).
