Curo Enterprise, a multi-award-winning residential developer based in Bath, is seeking a Technical Manager with a strong background in residential housebuilding. This is an exciting opportunity to join a culture-led, values-driven business delivering high-quality homes across the South West, with developments located within an hour’s travel of Bath. What you'll be doing Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, you’ll be the technical lead on multiple residential developments, from early-stage due diligence through planning, detailed design, and delivery. Key responsibilities include: Managing and coordinating consultant design teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and value-engineered designs Managing the technical approval and condition discharge process with NHBC and Building Control Liaising with utility providers and services consultants to secure mains connections, diversions, and disconnections Progressing and managing Section Agreements and statutory approvals with local and statutory authorities Supporting the Planning Manager on reserved matters planning applications, and leading the application process for NMAs, S73s, and condition discharges Managing consultant appointments, fees, and performance against programme and budget Providing technical due diligence to support the Land team with acquisitions Acting as Principal Designer (with consultant support) under CDM Regulations during the pre-construction phase Providing technical support to the commercial, construction, and sales teams Mentoring junior team members and contributing to reporting at project and business level This role is key to ensuring developments are technically robust, achieve forecast margins, and commence on site in line with the business plan. About you We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Manager with proven experience delivering residential schemes in a housebuilding or main contractor environment. Essential skills and experience: Extensive experience in a technical role within a residential housebuilder or main contractor Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of Building Regulations, NHBC/LABC requirements, and CDM Regulations Excellent project and programme management skills Strong design coordination capability with a keen eye for detail Experience managing consultant teams, technical budgets, and value engineering Confident communicator able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders Highly organised, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines A collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous improvement Full driving licence and access to a vehicle How will I evidence my success?
