Propertymark's members operate at the sharp end of society's housing challenges and economic opportunity. Our role is to ensure that they are recognised, supported and empowered to deliver a trusted, professional service.
In a period marked by evolving consumer expectations, and the growing complexity of legislation and regulation, we remain resolute in our mission: to champion professionalism, drive standards, and represent the voice of over 18,700 property professionals with credibility, insight, and authority.
You will join us at a key point in our development, as we make purposeful investments in support of our members and strengthen our positioning as an influencer and sector leader. We will continue to expand our training offer, launch new corporate and company membership categories, and continue shaping the future of the sector through policy, technology, and standards. Our strategic investments in PropTech, our evolving approach to professional development, and our active engagement with national policy makers are shaping the industry's future. We are firmly positioned as architects of a more trusted, resilient, and forward-looking property sector, driving a clear path of relevance, authority, and lasting impact.
We are an ambitious member-led organisation then, but one with a changing risk profile to which we must pay attention, and this is where you will come in. Joining our Board of three independent and six member directors, as our Chair of Audit and Risk Committee, you'll ensure that as a business we are thoughtful about our risk appetite, proactive and joined up, and investing as appropriate to anticipate and mitigate financial, operational and reputational risk.
We are seeking a non-executive director with the right experience. Commercially astute and financially literate with a relevant accounting qualification, you will be familiar with governance and regulatory frameworks in a membership organisation or similar body, with experience of overseeing risk and audit in a financially and operationally complex setting. With a genuine interest in our business and a value set that aligns with our own, you will also be a team player, able to secure strong contributions from others, whilst also adding value in your broader role as a member of the board.
We are excited by what we will deliver together in this next stage of our development. If this sounds like the challenge for you, I look forward to hearing from you.
