As a cutting-edge Electric Motor Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of electric vehicles.
The successful candidate will help design, prototype, and evaluate state-of-the-art mechanical and electrical systems for high-performance vehicles. This involves leading technical investigations, analysing component and assembly performance, and developing bespoke test rigs for laboratory and on-track testing.
You will work closely with simulation, design, and race engineering teams to translate insights into real-world applications and drive innovation in vehicle platforms.
To excel in this role, you should have a degree-qualified background in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering, preferably with an MSc or PhD. A minimum of 3 years' hands-on R&D experience in electric vehicles, motorsport, aerospace, or a similar domain is also essential.
A strong background in data acquisition and analysis tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, or equivalent is necessary, along with proven experience of calibration and a solid understanding of systems like batteries, motor controllers, or thermal management.
