Your new role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will take on a pivotal role in delivering tailored support to children and young people. You will lead a team of support workers, ensuring the highest standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Supervising and mentoring junior staff, fostering a positive work environment.
Engaging with children through activities that promote learning and personal development.
Maintaining clear and accurate records of care and progress.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you should possess:
A relevant children's NVQ L3 (required).
A current DBS check already registered on the update service (required).
Previous senior/leadership experience in a children's residential setting.
A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to working with children and young people.
An understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
