Solution Architect - Contract Opportunity
We're hiring a Solution Architect to support a major platform transformation programme focused on pension products. This role involves working closely with the IT teams and internal stakeholders to design and deliver an integrated administration platform.
Key Details
Location: Hybrid - Leeds (2 days/week on-site)
Rate: £500-£600 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 months (likely extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Arrangements: Hybrid (2-3 days on site)
Role Summary
You'll be responsible for defining solution architectures, guiding implementation, and ensuring alignment with business and technical goals. The role requires strong collaboration with internal teams and external vendors, with a focus on cloud-native design, integration, and enterprise governance.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
Proven experience as a Solution Architect on large-scale transformation programmes
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Expertise in microservices, APIs, and integration patterns
Experience working with system implementors or third-party vendors
Familiarity with enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, etc.)
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Strong documentation skills (architecture diagrams, data flows, etc.)Desirable:
Experience in pensions, asset management, or investment banking
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect)
