Base Pay Range
Job Purpose: This key position carries out planned and reactive maintenance across several site locations, serving as the first line in all maintenance issues. Technical repairs and PPMs are performed, ensuring compliance paperwork is complete and up to date.
Key Accountabilities
* Drive company culture, values and behaviours.
* Attend training courses and keep personal skills current.
* Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
* Complete all necessary PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales.
* Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and advise the Line Manager.
* Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City management.
* Work with company and customer employees to ensure laid‑down standards of quality are maintained.
* Deal with minor alterations and installations within technical competence.
* Complete general repairs and maintenance on trained food services assets.
* Comply with the BER policy and guidelines on managing catering and bakery assets.
* Represent the company professionally and develop good working relationships.
* Monitor and update the Mercury system including live job updates.
* Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
* Conduct emergency lighting tests and log repairs.
* Ensure compliance documentation is complete and up to date.
* Effectively communicate with team members and management.
* Follow purchase order process and ensure all costs are approved.
* Undertake any additional reasonable duties as required.
* Participate in a 1 in 4 standby on‑call rota.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* GCSE/Standard Grade minimum; NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
* City & Guilds 2382 18th edition.
* 3‑phase electrics and its applications.
* Ability to maintain and repair wide range of electrical and food services mechanical equipment (commercial ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, etc.).
* Respond to service call requests within agreed response times.
* Achieve PPM schedule within agreed timescales.
* Maintain the Health and Safety policy.
* Provide client and colleague relationships and feedback.
* Full driving licence.
