Role: Digital Services Assistant Manager – Online Digital Services Team

Contract: 12M Fixed Term Contract

Shift pattern: Full Time

Location: Nottingham

Closing date: 4th April 2026


What you’ll be doing

The Digital Services Team lead a wide range of operational and business processes across our UK and ROI digital platforms, ensuring they operate effectively, deliver value, and always enhance the customer experience. The team covers Digital Promotions & Events, Digital Product Enrichment, Digital Services Projects & Transformation support, and Digital Content Systems Support.

As a key subject matter expert in Digital Services Promotions, you will contribute to a range of digital and business‑wide transformation projects, driving improvements to the colleague and shopper experience and helping Boots achieve its strategic goals.


Key responsibilities

* Oversee daily workload planning and prioritisation, ensuring the team can respond to changing priorities, manage ad‑hoc requests, and consistently deliver high‑quality BAU activity.
* Act as a point of escalation, supporting assistants in resolving issues and keeping stakeholders informed with clear expectation management.
* Coach, lead, and support a team of assistants, championing capability development, continuous improvement, and high standards across the team.
* Use specialist knowledge of promotions to improve processes, strengthen ways of working, eliminate inefficiencies, shape decisions, uphold best‑practice standards, and ensure accurate online promotion delivery from set‑up through to launch.
* Build strong relationships and collaborate with Ecommerce, Loyalty, Trading, and the wider Operations team to ensure promotion activity lands accurately and on time.
* Represent Digital Services in broader digital transformation projects, providing operational expertise, scoping projects effectively, executing to a high standard, and delivering meaningful improvements for colleagues and customers.
* Develop appropriate reporting and analysis to maintain and improve data requirements, identifying gaps or opportunities to increase conversion and customer engagement.


Working hours & conditions

With our website available for customers 24 hours a day, working times will vary on short notice and may require early mornings from 5 am to ensure everything is accurate and signed off ahead of customer peak shopping periods. This role will plan those requirements in advance with the wider team.


What you’ll need to have (our must‑hav es)

* Passion for customers, an eye for detail, and a pragmatic approach with operational experience.
* A commitment to developing others – supporting, coaching, and empowering your team to grow skills, build confidence, and deliver high‑quality work.
* Experience managing stakeholders across multiple teams, levels, and third parties, holding to account and escalating when required.
* A curious and proactive mindset, consistently seeking to understand the "why" behind processes and decisions, and comfortable questioning the status quo.
* Flexibility to work out of hours, early mornings, and late evenings on occasion and provide escalation support when needed (frequency discussed with manager).
