This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle, from initial site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition, to leading a professional team through the planning process, obtaining consent, supporting construction, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers will be key.
You will own the full development and planning process from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to multitask, and meet tight deadlines. Note: You will be expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days per week.
Role Title: Senior Acquisitions Consultant (internally named)
Responsibilities
* Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals for new stores
* Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage due diligence processes
* Manage planning application lifecycle from submission to discharge of conditions
* Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects
* Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers
* Manage the full development and planning process from start to finish
* Real estate management of freehold and leasehold assets
Requirements
* Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
* Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant field
* Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning
* MRICS qualification is preferred
* Strong negotiation skills and a well-established network
* Legal and commercial property knowledge
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Analytical mindset
* Ability to multitask and meet conflicting deadlines
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK
