Position Summary CoRe Risk & Controls - Executive Manager – Deloitte Global Job Summary Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) provides professional and consultative services to our member firms across the globe. We develop, drive, and support the Global Strategy and Brand for the overall Deloitte organization. Employees of DTTL work on complex business projects that connect and serve client service practitioners around the world. This position supports the DTTL CoRe Risk Director (located within DTTL Global) with implementing and maintaining an internal controls framework across all CoRe Service Areas and the Central team. The position is for a risk professional who is looking to expand their knowledge through exposure to diverse and complex risk issues on a global basis and who can work independently to provide advice and guidance to our internal clients. Job Functions Deliver scalable, world-class quality and risk management in an astute, agile, and strategic manner Embed risk management framework ensuring coordination of stakeholder participation, feedback, and buy in, along with ongoing maintenance and validation of framework compliance Determine risk appetite and risk tolerance across the CoRe Service Areas and Central function Work with leadership to identify, evaluate, and document business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate those risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement Conduct pilots to validate and refine the internal controls framework Perform design, implementation, and operating effectiveness testing for all in-scope processes and controls assigned Perform current-state gap assessment against internal controls framework Assist the Process Owners with evaluating control deficiencies including root cause and severity assessments Report on severity, frequency and root causes of incidents and exposures identified Advise Leadership and support remediation efforts for control issues identified, ensuring appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner Design and maintain escalation process to ensure proper ongoing support for stakeholders Develop a risk intelligent culture across CoRe Design and deliver internal controls training and awareness campaign for appropriate roles Regular status reporting to the CoRe Executive Team. As and when the team expands, manage and supervise team members. Annual assessment Support CoRe in meeting its internal controls obligation. Work alongside the Global Risk organization ahead of their annual assessment. Lead the planning, scoping and risk assessment process for CoRe. Assist with monitoring and reporting requirements as required. Qualifications Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications. Relevant professional certifications are also preferred. 12 to 16 years of related experience, including in professional services, external/internal audit, or IT audit. Demonstrate advanced understanding of internal controls, risk assessments, business process and internal IT control testing or operational auditing. Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills. Strong organizational and project management skills - demonstrate ability to plan and manage projects independently along with ensuring high quality deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines. Ability to work in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholder groups. Able to build broad and deep relationships across a diverse network, using a flexible influencing style to gain buy-in and drive impact. High business acumen and understanding of working in a global environment.
