Cover Supervisor

Teaching Personnel is seeking an organised, reliable, and professional Cover Supervisor to support a range of secondary schools in the Runcorn area. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short‑term absence of teaching staff, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to secondary-aged pupils.
Maintain good order and ensure pupils remain on task throughout lessons.
Implement school behaviour and safeguarding policies consistently.
Provide support to pupils as required to facilitate their engagement and participation.
Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders to provide feedback on lesson delivery and pupil conduct.
Desirable Experience
Previous experience working within a secondary school environment.
Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Strong communication, behaviour management, and organisational skills.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and adaptable in a classroom setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
