What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Head of Mechanical, the successful Reliability Engineer will have three direct reports, comprising two Mechanical Inspectors and a Lubrication Technician.
This position is a key member of the Tunstead Cement team and plays a vital role in contributing to the success of plant reliability by ensuring effective preventative maintenance plans are in place and robust inspection schedules are adhered to, alongside investigating and resolving plant maintenance reliability issues.
The Reliability Engineer will help deliver continuous improvement in safety & health, equipment reliability, and overall R&M costs of the Cement Plant, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
On a day-to-day basis, your key responsibilities will include (but aren’t limited to):
1. Managing and motivating the Reliability team, ensuring coordination and cooperation between departments & plant priorities
2. Ensuring all condition monitoring activities are completed as per the inspection calendar & schedule to give a full snapshot of equipment condition and risks
3. Applying preventative and predictive maintenance practices, which are measured and monitored by specific maintenance KPIs
4. Carrying out plant reliability improvement projects leading to operational benefits
5. Ensuring all plant risks are known and addressed in the respective forum
6. Researching and presenting new technologies or developments that would benefit the uptime of plant equipment
7. Working on the continuous improvement of the plant CMMS system
8. When required, assisting with the execution of WTA Shutdowns as per direction from the Shutdown Manager
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you will:
1. Have a minimum qualification level of a Mechanical HNC/HND or equivalent
2. Experience in a heavy industry maintenance or reliability environment; experience in a cement environment would be a bonus!
3. Experience of industrial plant condition monitoring
4. Problem-solving techniques in Root Cause Analysis
5. Technical knowledge of preventative maintenance tools
