Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division!

As part of our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division, you’ll deliver planned, structured repairs directly to our members—right from their driveway to their workplace car park.
Your Rewarding Role
Enjoy a competitive base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), with on-target earnings of up to £57,000. Plus, you’ll have the option for guaranteed overtime to boost your earnings even further!

40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and just 1 in 4 Saturdays.
* No emergency callouts or unpredictable shifts—just a structured schedule of jobs.
Where You’ll Work
You’ll be part of the Wembley cluster, covering areas like Wembley, Harrow, Stanmore, Edgware, Kingsbury, and more. Enjoy the freedom of working in your local area with a clearly planned schedule of appointments—no reactive callouts, just organized, pre-booked work!
Your Daily Tasks
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, and you’ll be responsible for:
* Routine servicing
* Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
* In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
* Providing member advice and recommendations
* Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
With SMR, you’ll have the time and tools to deliver quality work, ensuring our members are back on the road safely and confidently.

What You’ll Need
* Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
