Job Description
Our Digital and Data technology team are at the forefront of digital innovation. They provide best‑in‑class solutions for our clients, helping to shape and support a data‑driven future for the UK government. Whether it’s creating bespoke, secure software, offering programme and application support or moving an entire embassy’s servers to a cloud platform, no matter the task, they’re on hand to provide support.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Design, code, test, correct and document large programmes and modifications from supplied specifications, and provide costs, timescales and estimates of resources required to effect change.
* Create and test web pages with specified content and layout, and develop web interfaces to new or existing applications.
* Analyse data requirements to establish, modify or maintain object and data models, evaluate potential solutions and demonstrate, install and commission selected products.
* Use application management software and tools to collect performance statistics to ensure targets are met, perform essential maintenance and identify and resolve any problems encountered.
* Maintain knowledge of specific technical specialisms, provide detailed advice regarding their application.
Use all your specialist development skills to help defend the UK’s interests.
Qualifications
We are looking for people with:
* Agile and ITIL Foundation level qualifications or relevant experience.
* Microsoft role‑based certification – Associate, and relevant product certifications.
* Knowledge of database concepts, object and data modelling techniques and design principles and of database architectures, software and facilities.
* Substantial experience in relevant roles, including technologies in an enterprise environment, and of working within a secure environment.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST/SOAP APIs, SQL and JSON/XML.
* Experience with ServiceNow Studio, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Flow Designer / Workflow Editor, Service Catalog & Request Management, CMDB, Performance Analytics & Reporting, Security & ACLs, and object and data modelling techniques.
* ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
* Experience with ITIL3 environments and a desire to continue professional development.
