MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
* To deliver excellence in customer service, maximising profits and exploiting opportunities for business growth.
* To effectively lead and develop a highly motivated team,,maintaining agreed standards of product delivery and constantly exceeding customer expectations.
* To serve all food and beverage as required by hotel standards. Maintain over all levels of courtesy, service and cleanliness of Restaurant and Bar areas.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Ensure orders of food and beverage are served promptly in accordance with hotel standards.
* To ensure that adequate mis-en-place is available for each shift in the Restaurant
* To promote Restaurant not only in-house but in local area to optimise external diners.
* To ensure that the team are fully conversant with the till system and supervise the collection of all monies and ensure that all guest bills are posted correctly.
* To ensure that the team work to an agreed cleaning procedure which is documented, signed off and filled on completion
* To ensure the team adheres to the correct opening times and that procedures are followed
* To ensure that pre service briefings take place before every evening service
* To ensure the Restaurant is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness
* Ensure that the team act upon all up selling opportunities within the Restaurant through training, encouragement and incentives
* To pass on all relevant sales leads and opportunities to Marketing Department
* To liaise closely with Head Chef on specials, upsells and important food information
* To report any negative food comments or complaints to both the General Manager and Head Chef for follow up
* To ensure necessary system is in place and maintained to capture email data from all non- residential diners and passed to marketing department on a weekly basis
* To ensure that all staff are fully aware and compliant with new Allergen regulations
* To carry out Duty Management functions as required.
* Ensure all new members of staff receive Departmental Induction on Day 1 and attends Hotel Induction by week 4
* To accurately access the needs of the business and rota staff accordingly, right people working at the right time.
* To ensure all staff adhere fully to signing in and out procedures
* To ensure all team are trained and can demonstrate knowledge in : Food Hygiene / Health & Safety /Licensing Law/ Fire Regulations & procedures
· All training carried out to have training records submitted to HR for personal files
· To ensure monthly analysis undertaken and reported on achieved average spends for food and beverage with corrective improvement plan developed and undertaken
* Any other duties as requested by Management
* To adhere to Hotel Disciplinary & grievance procedures at all times, ensuring full and timely communication with HR regarding any issues

Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
