The Role
* Setting and operating manual lathes to machine precision components to tight tolerances.
* Working with large and complex parts, ensuring accuracy and high‑quality standards.
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
* Using precision measuring tools for quality checks and first‑off inspections.
* Collaborating with engineers and machinists to maintain smooth production flow.
What We are Looking For
* Proven experience as a Manual Turner (X, Y, Z axis).
* Confident working from detailed engineering drawings.
* Experience with large or heavy components is desirable.
* Basic CNC machining knowledge is an advantage, but not essential.
* Hands‑on, reliable, and eager to learn – training will be provided.
* Strong attention to detail and a positive, proactive attitude.
What's on Offer
* £18.00 - £19.00 per hour (DOE)
* Full‑time, permanent position – 40 hours per week
* Work schedule: Monday‑Thursday: 08:00‑16:30, Friday: 08:00‑12:00
* Overtime available (paid at time and a half)
