Job Description:
We are seeking
a full-time Senior Developer in Computer Vision to join the Control Group at the Department of Engineering Science in central Oxford. The post is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and is fixed-term to 31.03.2026, with possible extension to 31.06.2026 subject to funding partner decision. The project will focus on scaling-up development our computer vision software for quantitative microscopy, Deep Learning for Time-lapse Analysis (DeLTA). You will be responsible for implementing a graphical user interface, extend the software with real-time processing capabilities, and packaging DeLTA in a cross-platform installer. Additionally, you will explore routes for commercialising certain features of DeLTA, potentially resulting in a spin-off company. You should possess expertise in Python and experience in software management and release. Optionally, you will also have experience in computer vision applications and quantitative microscopy. Finally you will possess excellent communication skills for a highly interdisciplinary environment. Only online applications received before midday on the 15th May 2025 can be considered.
