This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative, compassionate and collaborative Home team. We have a Rehabilitation Assistant Practitioner post available within our Orthopaedic Therapy team in Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. You will work under the supervision of registered Therapy staff both Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physiotherapy to assist patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals, implement and adapt a delegated treatment programme and complete daily duties to support patient care in ward C6 and Short stay ward. You will be allocated a delegated patient caseload supported by OT and Physiotherapy within the team and you will use specialist practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred care. You will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of person centred care. You will require a formal qualification in health related subject at Level 7 in health related subject. In addition, knowledge of the clinical speciality techniques and activities relevant to the patient group are required. The ability to display effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills, time management, planning and organisational skills are also a requisite. The ability to work individually and as part of a team and to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning are important aspects of the role. This will be a 7 day service.
