Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Neurodiversity Lead for a split role to join our teams at HMP Rye Hill and HMP Onley, two category C prisons located next to each other in Rugby.
Hours
This role is full time (37.5 hours per week) split over two sites, covering 18.75 hours at each site. Working times are 8:00am – 4:00pm with a 30 minute lunch break.
Salary
This position is full time. You will receive an annual salary between £49,848 and £55,996 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Neurodiversity Lead your responsibilities will include:
* Provide strategic leadership specialising in neurodiversity within a diverse healthcare setting
* Address the needs of the neurodiverse population using validated screening tools and assessments to inform evidence-based care plans
* Develop and implement joined-up pathways across healthcare settings, involving custodial partners
* Lead on developing professional relationships and pathways with community settings to enhance referrals and specialised involvement on discharge
* Lead the development and training needs of staff, ensuring a holistic and collaborative care-planned approach
* Provide understanding of neurodivergent needs and reasonable adjustments within the custodial setting while maintaining a trauma-informed approach

Qualifications
* RMN, RNLD, Social Worker (Mental Health) or Occupational Therapist (Mental Health)
* Current professional qualification (NMC, HCPC or equivalent)
* Evidence of continued Professional Development
* Understanding of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
