Main duties of the job
* The Staff Nurse in Chronic Pain Management is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for individuals experiencing chronic pain. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the nurse delivers high standards of clinical care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
* The role involves supervising junior staff, participating in teaching and mentoring, and supporting the development and implementation of pain management policies. The nurse is expected to maintain accurate documentation, ensure patient safety, and contribute to continuous service improvement, all while upholding the Trust's EXCEL values and commitment to equality, safety, and patient-centered care.

Job responsibilities
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with chronic pain.
* Support the Pain Team in all key areas of pain management.
* Supervise and delegate tasks to junior staff.
* Participate in teaching, mentoring, and induction of new staff.
* Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
* Contribute to policy and practice development for pain services.
* Ensure effective teamwork and communication with the multidisciplinary team.
* Manage complex patient cases under supervision.
* Maintain equipment and attend relevant training.
* Adhere to Trust policies, including infection control, safeguarding, and equality standards.

* Previous NHS experience working in an acute trust
* Experience of assissing paina nd administering pain management interventions
* Demonstartes awareness of clinincal governance
