About the Role: As a Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of coding, programming, and digital literacy. You’ll encourage innovation, logical thinking, and problem-solving while preparing students for the digital challenges of the future. Main Responsibilities: Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, following the national curriculum. Plan and deliver interactive lessons covering topics such as algorithms, programming languages, cybersecurity, and data analysis. Encourage creativity and curiosity in a supportive learning environment. Assess, record, and monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback. Support students in developing key technical and analytical skills. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the computing curriculum and teaching strategies. Create a classroom culture that promotes respect, focus, and enthusiasm for learning. Ensure safeguarding and well-being of all pupils. Requirements for Computer Science Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, NQT, or related Computer Science degree). Experience teaching Computer Science or ICT at secondary level. Strong understanding of computing principles, hardware, and software systems. Effective classroom management and communication skills. Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection. An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
