We are recruiting an Electronics Technician to join our On Board Camera team based at our Biggin Hill office. This role requires extensive travel and an EU/UK driving license.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and develop the OBC system, ensuring it remains in optimal working order and meets the standards required for Formula 1 cars.
2. Service all electronic and mechanical components between races, either at the Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill, Kent, or at the circuit, ensuring readiness for the next race.
3. Install the OBC system on F1 cars once fully trained, ensuring safety compliance.
4. Assist with fault finding and repair of the OBC system at the Event Technical Centre (ETC) and Remote Technical Centre (RTC), and help provide high-quality footage for F1 TV output.
5. Complete all mandatory training within specified timelines.
6. Operate safely in line with company health and safety requirements.
7. Undertake additional duties as assigned by your Department or Team Manager, which may include working in the Pit Lane.
8. Maintain stock levels as per department requirements.
9. Participate in pre-season testing of OBC 'on car' installations, which may involve visiting F1 Teams or attending pre-season tests.
10. Assist in building, designing, and dismantling the OBC workshop at F1 events as necessary.
