First Call Contract Services is currently recruiting for a Process Operator to join our client based in Headcorn, Kent.The pay rate for this role is £14.40 per hour. This position involves rotating morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) shifts on a weekly basis.At least 1 year of experience in food manufacturing is desirable.First Call Contract Services is an employer of choice for candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, including delivery driving, warehousing, customer service, support work, retail, cleaning, and many others.Why work with First Call?Working with First Call Contract Services gives you access to a range of great benefits, including:Money-saving offers and exclusive discounts.24/7 GP helpline.Discounted gym memberships at over 2,500 gyms nationwide.Online payslip access.Personal insuranceWorking pattern for Process Operator:This role operates on a weekly rotating shift pattern:Early shift: 7:00am - 3:00pmLate shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pmPay:£14.40 per hour.Paid weekly.Main Duties of Process Operator:Ensure all products are manufactured to company specifications, including temperature, weight, visual standards, and CCP requirements, reporting any deviations to the Team Supervisor or Shift ManagerFollow all HACCP procedures and ensure Critical Control Points (CCPs) remain within specification at all timesMaintain compliance with food safety, health & safety, hygiene, environmental, GMP, traceability, and legal requirementsMonitor and control material usage and waste, reporting any issues to the Team Supervisor or Shift ManagerEnsure all materials are available and equipment is operating effectively to meet production plansSupport efficient shift handovers, including stock control, GMP standards, and accurate documentationComplete all required production, quality, and compliance documentation accurately and on timeWork collaboratively with internal teams to promote open communication and continuous improvementSupport production efficiency by reducing downtime, waste, and improving productivity levelsMaintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene within the production area at all timesProvide buddy training and mentoring to new employees as requiredParticipate in return-to-work interviews when requiredConfidently escalate and, where necessary, stop production if quality or safety standards are not metAbout You:Previous experience in a food or drinks manufacturing environment is desirableBasic Food Hygiene Certificate with good awareness of Health & Safety standardsStrong understanding of food manufacturing processes, HACCP principles, and quality standardsConfident in maintaining product safety, legality, traceability, and compliance requirementsGood numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detailStrong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectivelyProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, for accurate documentation and reportingStrong written and verbal communication skillsAble to work effectively as part of a team, supporting problem solving and continuous improvementBuilds strong working relationships across teams and departmentsCustomer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality standardsSelf-motivated, results-driven, and able to work to clear objectives and high standardsThis role would suit candidates with previous experience working in a food production warehouse or for employers such as Amazon, Parcelforce, DHL, or similar organisations.TPBN1_UKTJ
